A girl on facebook just posted about some girls walking down the street in bikini tops and short shorts.
GOD FORBID WEARING SHORTS AND A SWIM SUIT IN THE SUMMER! HOW DARE THEY! MAY THE BE STRUCK DOWN WITH SYPHILIS.
Whats worse, was the whole part about “put some clothes on before you get raped”.
of course this was met by an onslaught of big worded comments by some people (me and friend), about the ignorant nature of her statement and the dangers of body policing, slut shaming, victim blaming and rape jokes to ours and future generations.
All of which were met with deletion and apologies for hurting our butts and a “dont comment on my stuff if your gonna try and argue. its my opinion, you dont have to agree, but dont argue against it.”
That’s just not fair that she can run around spouting hatred and ignorance but we aren’t allowed to use our first amendment rights as well, and that other folks can’t use theirs with the way they dress. That is not fair one bit. It’s not fair but it is her right to make what ever statement she damn well pleases, just as it is her right to completely close her mind to information that you could say is vital to her as a woman.
Someone explain to me why people are so fucking dumb and don’t take advantage of these things to create a forum for discussion and learning?
